Remodel the food instead of the building

I'm easy to please, but I was really disappointed with the seafood buffet this Friday at the Shoney's Brentwood. The catfish was really strong tasting and inedible. One bite was enough. The very worst I've ever had. I hope I don't get sick. Same with the pre-breaded frozen oysters. Yuck! The boiled shrimp were undercooked. They hadn't even curled yet and needed to boil about two more minutes. The bite size crab cakes had so much shell they were crunchy. I could go on and on. Poor salad bar, food was warmed too long,etc. Just an overall decline from the last time I ate there.

Store was very clean and the young waiter was very courteous, but this Shoney's has real problems with their food quality and cooking. I don't expect seaside seafood for $10.99 in Tennessee, but I would have been better off at the Captain D's next door. I invite any Shoney's executive to eat there next Friday night and email me to tell me I am wrong. If you enjoy the food then maybe that's the problem.    [18 Sep 2004 05:48:51]
