Very Good Food The food is great, very nice people. You may have a long wait if they are busy but it is worth the wait. [15 Nov 2003 17:23:19]

My second favorite German restaurant After moving to Knoxville, I had no hope of finding good German food, but was very happy to learn of the Linderhof. As a devoted fan of the Berghof in Chicago, I had a moment of deja vu during my first dinner there. The menu was very reminiscent of the Berghof, and then the waiter informed me that the chef had trained at the Berghof and all became very clear. Everything is wonderful. The schnitzel is perfect, especially the hunter's style. The beer selection, while limited, includes some of the best on the planet. Eat, drink, and ENJOY!!! This is a hidden jewel in Knoxville (the land of buffets and corporate food). [19 Jul 2005 12:37:05]

If I were a food critic…Linderhof I have enjoyed dinning out since moving to Knoxville in November 2004. Knoxville offers many different styles of foods with culturally rich atmospheres. Growing up in Germany, France, and England spoiled my taste buds and I often find myself searching for original tasting European food.
With respect to German food, there are only two words: Restaurant Linderhof. Located at 11831 Kingston Pike, Knoxville TN. 865-675-8700
The menu and taste reminded me of a Germany restaurant “Günter’s” I frequented with my family in Austin Texas fifteen years ago. Well to my surprise it was the same person and master Chef working hard to deliver the best of the best Bavarian Cuisine.
The people are curious, friendly, and the menu is wonderful. The schweine bratten and schnitzel are perfect, especially the hunter's style. The beer, schnapps, and wine selection are fine.
From one consumer to another, “it’s a must try”. Many of restaurants in Knoxville are chains or branches from chains.
Linderhof is truly a hidden jewel in Knoxville. [13 Dec 2005 16:50:22]

Get there EARLY... ...and don't have strict plans afterwards. Now this isn't a bad thing, I'm just saying. Reason being, Linderhof has a great many regulars, limited seating, and a long wait once you've been seated. This is all due to the fact that the chef insists on preparing everything himself (so said a regular). Well y'know what? It shows! This is an absolute delight. From the decor and the lederhosen'd waitresses to the cuisine itself. Soup, salad, entree, desert; never once did I catch myself saying 'This would've been better if...'. Not once. I think I actually pulled a 'Homer' on my wife! 'No talky, more eaty'. Do yourself a favor, spend an evening at Linderhof. [18 Feb 2006 23:02:56]

Enjoy Your Family at Dinner We took my Father to Linderhof for his 65th birthday and he said it was the best birthday he had ever had! My parents travel to Europe several times a year and they both agreed the food and ambiance of the restaurant reminded them of their visits abroad. This celebration was the first time our family ever stayed at a restaurant for over 2 hours and simply enjoyed being together while enjoying wonderfully delicious food. I highly recommend this restaurant and give them 10 stars! [09 May 2007 16:39:03]
