Don't go in a group Visited the Tennessee Grill for the first time as part of a group dinner (buffet) meeting on November 16th. What we were served was disappointing, to say the least: pressed ham-like meat and pressed turkey-like meat, baked beans overcooked to glop, green beans that were not hot, and so on. Only the rolls and the cheesecake were good. Reminded me of Army field messhall food, certainly not quality dining! [17 Nov 2001 08:45:33]

A Wondeful Experience... We had dinner at the Tennessee Grill a few weeks ago, and had a delicious meal with great service. We started with their boneless chicken wings with Fox sauce. I am not a chicken wing eater, and they are DELICIOUS. We continued with a wonderful meal and a wonderful evening. We will be back soon! [24 Apr 2003 14:04:14]

Wasn't impressed We ate at the Tennessee Grill for Mother's Day. There were 5 of us and no one was happy with their meal. Two filets, overcooked and way over priced, One sirloin, overcooked and tough, two chicken tenders meals, very chewy. We got no bread and our waitress overlooked us several times to wait on the table behind us. We had eaten there before and it was good but this was terrible. I would have enjoyed pizza more. Surprisingly bad -- don't go Medium rare prime rib totally overcooked and cold. French fries portion minuscule, smoked chicken dry like a leather sole. Mashed potatoes literally tasted and looked like soap. The fish in salmon salad shredded -- it looked like leftovers from other guests' grilled salmon was used for this dish. Both tables shaked wildly, barely able to use them. Overall an extremely poor experience. [26 Sep 2003 11:17:44]

Not a good experience. We did call ahead seating for 5:45 (4 people); was told it would be a 20 minute wait; 50 minutes later we got a table; then another 50 minutes later we were told the food was going to take a while longer. We ended up leaving around 7:35 in order to make an 8:00 performance. The only food we can rate included rolls, ice tea, cokes, water. We never got to taste a meal.
If the waitress had told us initially that the wait would be 50 minutes we would have gone somewhere else to ensure getting a meal before our 8:00 performance. Instead we did not get a meal until 11:00PM.
There has to be a pattern for a Friday night customer base. Surely they know how long the typical wait is on a Friday night. Do they advertise "call ahead" and/or give short wait times just to get folks in the door? If so it is not a good marketing strategy at all. [28 Feb 2004 00:48:17]
