Fixin' ta tell ya about Parks. Well nobody wrote one, so here is my shot at it. I have been going to Parks restarunt for over 20 years, It was introduced to me by my good friends and fellow engineers, Curt and Lawrence. The buffet style and country charm of this place helped us wrestle through the problem of the day, or discover a new one we had overlooked. I especially like their chicken and dumplings, although the recipie has changed over the years the new one is just fine. Fridays are fish day, but at least four or five main courses are served every day, including fried chicken, hamburger / salisbury steak. There is even liver and onions, on wednesday. A full salad bar, soup and deserts like an apple or cherry cobbler are included in the buffet price of $5. a slice of lemon merengue pie will cost you an extra buck. The waitresses here call you 'honey' and I am gald to call Parks my Home Away From Home. DO NOT TOUCH the injun that guards the buffet line. [27 Apr 2003 14:56:06]
