Description

Authentic Bayou Cajun menu with crawfish, alligator, gumbos, etouffée, jambalaya, blackened fish and chicken, New Orleans style bread pudding, blackberry cobbler, peach cobbler, and a signature dessert called "Bananas Shelia" named after the chef/owner.

The restaurant has a very laid back New Orleans style of environment, including an outdoor courtyard surrounded by walls covered in English Ivy and tomatoes and herbs grown in the small beds in courtyard. Outdoor seating is about 30 and the smaller Mardi Gras decorated indoor room has about 20 - 24 seats. They have live music in the courtyard when the weather is permitting, as well as a Mardi Gras party every year and several crawfish boils during the season.

Small friendly Restaurant
Enjoyed the Gumbo very much, arrived very hot. Enjoyed the soup that comes with the salad. The house dressing was good but a little spicy unless you like hot stuff. Had the Alligator crawfish etoufee, had huge pieces of alligator, the crawfish was sorta small pieces. Blueberry Cobbler with ice cream was excellent.    [29 Oct 2006 22:35:02]
