Although the College Street location is now closed, (perhaps they still serve lunch) Three Amigos on College Street will be reopening soon after repairing the damage caused by Hurricane Rita.

I defy anyone to polish off the foot high, grande nachos in one sitting. The food in this modest cafe is above average. Good guacamole and queso. They took over the old, famous Felix's Restaurant (still in business in Houston since 1926!) and, on request will serve the orange, greasy queso that made Mr. Felix famous.

I've eaten tacos in Mexico, New Mexico, California, New York and all over Texas and never found a beef taco more tasty than 3 Amigos.    [12 Dec 2005 04:41:51]

Won't be Back
Sadly, several years after Rita, Three Amigos has NOT reopened. Apparently, the damage was just too great.
