Best General Tso's in the area
We live in Katy and even though Bellville isn't right around the corner, we visit Golden Pagoda often.

The service isn't the best as sometimes it takes a while to get the things you request (ex. extra fork, water, etc) but the General Tso's chicken is the best. Crispy on the outside, nice white meat inside with a great sauce. Yum.

The place is almost always packed.

I would suggest to any Houston/Katy/etc residents to try out this small town Chinese food.

I live in Sealy which is a 15 min drive to Bellville, but we visit Golden Pagoda all the time the dish that I would recomend is the Mandarin Chicken crispy white meat topped with vegetables in a brown sauce.    [28 Apr 2004 22:56:28]

No question about it the food is good. I have going to Golden Panda for many years and service is not what it used to be. Their food is consitent and ambiance is really nice now. But is not worth going if service does not get better fast.

Great Soups and Lunch
We have been several times for the lunch specials and the food is hot, tasty, and good. First decent Hot and Sour soup I have had in ages. Fried rice could use some work. Beef and broccoli and the General Tso's chicken are excellent.    [20 Aug 2005 18:28:46]

Awesome Steamed Dumplings
Golden Pagoda is the best kept secret for awesome vegetarian steamed dumplings. The restaurant only sells them on week days, but they're wonderful. And, the sauce they come with is excellent.    [02 Dec 2007 17:45:41]

Great Chinese cuisine - every Friday night
The food in this place reminds me of your local Chinese place from the mid 60's, 70's and early 80's. Awesome tidbit plate - the skewered meat is fork tender. The egg drop and won ton is spot on perfect. Homemade eggrolls. The Mandarin chicken is by far the "sleeper" best dish in the house. You will love the General Tso's until you've tried this dish -- the mandarin chick is like the Gen Tso but with fresh veggies and little extras to boot. IF you like Lo Mein you will find the best here - I suggest the House which includes pork, lots of shrimp, and chicken. Interior is pleasant and clean. The staff is so so because they are mainly high school kids in part time jobs - but there are a couple of kids there that wait on us and go out of their way to accomodate me, wife and our 3 year old.
