Great breakfast and toast
You can eat on the porch and they have the best toast. Pancakes are sooooo thick that if you can eat three it is free.    [13 Feb 2005 15:09:00]

Bring an appetite
On a recent road trip I stayed overnight in Blanco, Texas and decided to grab some breakfast before leaving town. Am I glad I did!

Sunset Restaurant and Bar is one of those small-town places that's big on quality and quantity of food - the "ambiance" isn't great, but who cares!

I almost ordered pancakes, but settled on two eggs, bacon, homemade bread and sliced tomatoes (total with coffee less than $10) - I saw three guys try to handle a 'short stack' of the biggest pancakes I've ever seen - the closest anyone came was a big biker who finished about half of his.

My server was polite and attentive, and the food was excellent.    [22 Jul 2006 18:23:24]

I would drive 100 miles for breakfast
My wife and I have been eating breakfast here for about two years, we usually get the works. We start with a two egg breakfast and add an egg, it comes with many choices, the pan fried potatoes are spiced just right and go great with the thick sliced bacon, as far as toast or biscuit, always go with toast, it's made from homemade bread and cut twice as thick as Texas toast, then order a side biscuit and gravy. All of this we split and to top everything off we also split ONE pecan pancake, These are huge and quite good    [28 Aug 2007 22:43:58]
