Tex-Mex like no other!!!!!
First of all, I would like to compliment this restaurant and those who run it. Lorene's has some of the best Tex-Mex food I have ever tasted. My family and I enjoy going there because of the good food and wonderful employees. The waiters and waitresses are always so polite and helpful. They are also noticeably quick to help one another out in order to insure the happiness of the customers. The cooks deserve ample credit, too. My Favorite restaurant in the WHOLE World!
I'm from Borger and when I go back it is always one of my first stops and sometimes I eat there every day that I'm there! I have tried Chile Rellano's everywhere else and none have even come close! Try a Lori Enchilada, it's got beef, cheese, green chillis and sour cream - Scotty or Max or Cathy will cook it just right and if they don't you can sic Lorene on them!    [16 Aug 2003 00:14:23]

BREAKFAST AT LORENE'S......
After reading these fine reviews on Lorene's, my friend John and I decided to try this restaurant for breakfast. What a delight and a fantastic way to start a new day. The breakfast menu was varied with Tex-Mex and traditional breakfast selections. We had read in an earlier review of this wonderful establishment about TINA, super server girl and does she ever live up to that endorsement! It was a very large crowd that Saturday morning, but Tina was equal in grace, courtesy and hospitality to all the patrons she served. Equal credit should be given to the excellent, professional kitchen staff preparing these suculent dishes of taste delight! Best Service in the Panhandle
I live in the Texas panhandle and every chance I get I eat at Lorene's Mexican Kitchen in Borger. The food is superb as well as the service. From the gorgeous, friendly hostess to the attentive, caring waitstaff we know we will be more than amply cared for and leave with full stomachs (sometimes we have to take leftovers home and save for later!). Those Delicious Chile Rellenos !!
I have not lived in Borger since I graduated high school- my family has since moved away. But I force my family to drive over 6 hours to get my "fix' of Lorene's secret family recipe chile rellenos, whenever I can. She will not share her recipe even though I promise not to give it out. That crunchy outside crust and the gooey center just makes me want to drive today. But unfortunately I am in Paris, France and will have to wait until another day.    [04 Jul 2007 10:43:41]
