Mr Treat Doughnuts - Spudnuts
A mainstay of this small town in the Texas panhandle. Everyone from around the Borger area knows of Mr. Treat. It's been around for over 50 years. At one time, I believe it was called the Spudnut shop. The doughnuts are actually made out of potatoes, thus the name spudnuts. They are heavier than the common doughnut, but taste so much better. If you're ever in Borger, make sure to drop by early in the morning on Main street. It's a small shop, often smokey from the cooking process and the regulars who sit at the bar enjoying a cup of coffee. You'll never forget that great taste!    [09 Dec 2006 18:41:58]

Best in the World!
OK, so saying they are the best donuts in the world seems like a stretch doesn't it? Well, it's the truth. I've never tasted anything like them. They use a recipe that incorporates potatoes, and they make their frosting onsite. They have only had a few owners over the 50+ years, but the taste has remained the same.
