This is Brownwood?
Steve's uses very unique recipes that are basically new twists on old faves. Their sandwiches and soups are out of this world and definitely worth the trip for out-of-towners looking for a memorable meal. Atmosphere more reminiscent of an eclectic mountain retreat cafe than one located in downtown Brownwood.    [01 Oct 2001 15:46:26]

It is nice to be in a small town and still have the luxury big city dining. Steves' has HIT THE SPOT when it comes to enjoying good food and a different atmosphere.    [15 Jun 2002 15:51:47]

The Tao of Steve...
Artisan soups and sandwiches, historic architecture, and the two innovative owners create an incredible dining experience at Steve's Market and Deli. This restaurant is all about making change and promoting a better world through food. You can even enjoy a cup of coffee brewed from beans grown with respect to people and the environment- fair-trade coffee.    [30 Oct 2002 20:52:56]

Big City Dining in a Small Town!
The food is truely wonderful, prepared and served by two great guys. The menu is small but the quality is large along with the portions. Believe me, you won't go away hungry. The service is top notched and the atmosphere is very eclectic. Steve' is a great place to take your out of town guest to dine. It will be a memorable experience.    [01 Nov 2002 09:59:36]

Best Restaurant In Central Texas
Steve's Market and Deli is one of the best restaurants in central Texas. The food is incredible and so is the service. If you're ever in Brownwood I highly suggest you stop in. In fact you would have to be a complete idiot not to.    [16 Feb 2003 22:47:58]

Country Boy Finds Food Heaven
I passed on Steve's for a long time thinking it was probably be one of those expensive & not much food places. Boy was I wrong. Kinda of pricey; but Great Food! I'm prety much the old meat and taters type guy but, what I ate at Steve's was worth every penny it cost me.    [11 Mar 2003 15:22:13]

This is one place that is a must eat at!
I try to eat at Steves' EVERY time I am in Brownwood. Their menu is so yummy you could eat it! Try anything and your stomach and body will thank you. And about the price -- it is not expensive, especially considering you are getting huge portions of homemade, handmade goodness. I recommend it all! Plus, Steve and Steve are such personable and lovely people. Everyone should have a Steve (or two!) in their life!    [10 Apr 2003 09:26:42]

Stellar Food, Impeccable Service
This small restaurant is set in a mid-sized city, but the food, atmosphere and service are world class. Every offering on the menu is a savory delight. The atmosphere is inspiringly creative and the service is perfectly executed. If you haven't been to Steves' Market and Deli, you are denying yourself a great pleasure.    [10 Apr 2003 22:36:33]

THE BEST IN DOWNTOWN BROWNWOOD
Best soup have every eating, just the right seasonings. Chef's Special is our favorite. Everything we have eaten to date is super.
The place is clean and displays a inspection with a A+ rating.
The fellows doing the cooking and the waiting of tables are the greatest. Special friends and business associates.    [10 Apr 2003 23:19:23]

What's Not To Like?
The weather changes....the days change..
and so do a persons food choices...and
choices is what you get at Stevs' Market
and Deli. I can eat there on a cool, rainy day and have the best soup-of-the-day..three days later I eat there when it's 95 degrees and have the best grilled chicken caesar salad around. It's
honestly a flip of the coin to decide on a Sandwich-a-la-Steve. The service is top notch and I feel very at home there...Thanks Steves'    [24 May 2003 17:06:28]
