Addicted to Roti Grill Like a Crack-head to Ice. I simply cannot get enough of Roti Grill on McKinney.
I was initially afraid to try Indian food, what with the assumption that my sensitive bowels would not withstand it and all. But I was introduced to this cafe in October, and since that time, I have become a frequent visitor.
Admittedly, I've only had one dish. It's so delicious that I want to lick the bowl when I am finished. And I keep eating even though I'm full, just because it is so. Freaking. Good.
My dish: Kofta Masala ("Not at all hot, please. I'm a wimp.") This is a creamy tomato and herb sauce, which sounds kind of like pasta sauce, and maybe looks like a cousin of pasta sauce, but it tastes nothing like pasta sauce. I'd go for this stuff any day of the week over Ragu. It has these meatball-looking things that are made of veggies and cheese, which, again, sounds a bit odd. But the combo of the two together is fantastic. Be sure to order it with a side of naan (pronounced: non) bread.
And, dip the bread in the masala sauce! Yummmmm...
Seriously. Go try it. You'll probably see me there.
(PS: you'll spend less than $10 on this meal, and it is big enough to feed both me and my husband - though that might be because we fill up on the delicious naan bread - everything is made fresh in the kitchen, and arrives at your table piping hot.) [10 Apr 2006 18:11:22]
