Keep on Truckin' As in, don't bother to stop. Because this town has a lack of safe chain restaurants to choose from (besides fast food) we picked here on our last road trip. We walked in the door and the staff just looked at us like we had horns and purple-polka-dotted faces. One waitress mentioned that "They can find their own seat" to a local diner. We walked past what was supposed to be a Sunday buffet that was just a compiled mess of different colored brown stuff. We should have left at that point, but we were hungry. So about five minutes later, a waitress came and brought us menus. Typical diner food, which is okay at some places. In our party, we ordered a cheeseburger, club sandwich, chicken salad and a grilled cheese. We didn't think anything complicated. It took about 25 minutes to get the food.....but only half of it. The grilled cheese sandwich and chicken salad had not been made by the kitchen staff. Not that our waitperson came and said anything but looked at us with half a table while she was bussing another one and went back and yelled at the cook. Needless to say, we didn't eat much and had to stop earlier than we had wanted for our next meal. And we didn't even notice that all the locals weren't even eating in there. They all just had drinks and were talking and smoking. So if you come into Dumas, leave this place for the locals...head over to Taco Bell or Subway if you are really hungry. [08 Aug 2005 13:57:44]

don't know what's up with you guys I don't know what's wrong with you people. Albert's Manor is one of the best resturaunts in town. I especially like their fried okra, in my opinion, Albert's Manor is better than k-bobs. Albert's Manor is a place where everyone feels comfortable, I mean, how often do u mr. anonymous, roanoke, tx go into a diner type of resturaunt and see everyone being quiet, just sitting their and eating? Dumas is a place where the town's people are close and like to visit, so, if you have a problem with the way people go into Albert's Manor and sit there talking, smoking, and drinking their drinks then maybe you shouldn't come to dumas anymore. thank you. a proud citizen of Dumas, Tx and a proud customer of Albert's Manor [14 Sep 2006 10:39:47]

Food: You won't find fine cuisine here, but its simple, good food. My wife and I had the soup & salad bar. Nothing fancy, but clean and tasted good. The kids had a corn dog and grilled cheese which filled them up. Must have tasted good as they both ate it all. Hard to beat having lunch for 4 people that cost under $20.
Service: Was typical for small town Texas. If you can't find your own table and get bent out of shape when they call you honey you aren't going to like any small restaurant. Saw many local people, which usually shows its a good place.
Ambiance: Restaurant pretty clean considering we got there after the Saturday noon rush. However the bathrooms could have used some work and remodeling.
Other: I knew I was in small town Texas when they rang me up and then left the cash drawer open while they went in the back to get some change! [01 Dec 2006 13:06:44]
