Good Food I have ate there several times the chicken salad is the best! The ambience is the best you can find appropriate for a family with well mannered children or a night w/out the children! I have only had bad service one time and could not get anyone's attention to tell them, but I would return to the restaurant! [25 Jul 2003 11:20:51]

The Best Place to Eat in Jacksonville. I eat there often. Wonderful people that own it and the staff is great! The garden is a wonderful escape from every day dining. The food is excellent and you are treated like a part of the family there. They truly care about their customers and their feedback. Dessert is the best part and daily specials with recipes from different staff members. [30 Sep 2003 22:59:57]

WoW! J'ville's hottest restaurant Talk about great food. The absolute best chicken fried steak I've ever had. The new rolls are so flavorful and that Earthquake cake is WOW. So huge with cheesecake and tons chocolate. My mouth waters just thinking about it. My entire family loves the variety of specials they offer. I'm in heaven all the way from appetizer to dessert. Waitresses and hostesses are so friendly. [01 Oct 2003 22:53:59]

Best place in town-hands down! Wow!! This place is fantastic. OUT OF THIS WORLD food, oustanding service, and a wonderful atmosphere. Try the Tomato Basil Pasta or any of their daily specials. Jacksonville's BEST restaurant, no doubt. Over-rated? I think not! [11 Feb 2004 14:17:19]

Worth a 3-hour Drive from Houston Great restaurant in unique setting with lots of variety --terrific chicken-fried steak, Cobb salad, King Ranch chicken. My favorite is the grilled salmon, and living on the Gulf Coast, I know seafood, and their salmon and dill sauce are great. While staying in the area for a few days, my wife and I couldn't resist having the salmon three lunches in a row! [02 Apr 2004 21:12:05]

They offer a unique dining experience in a historic home with a good choice of menu items. It's definitely one of the best restaurants Jacksonville has to offer. [11 Oct 2004 17:29:45]

Larissa House is a Real Charm. Food was great - especially the salmon. Atmosphere relaxing and comfortable with that Victorian charm. My husband and I really enjoyed our lunch at Larissa House. The wallpaper in the restrooms will keep you there longer than needed with ads from 1950's magazines to read. Staff was very friendly and helpful. [24 Mar 2006 13:15:27]
