I want the recipe
I was vacationing in Katy, TX and went to Carino's. Unfortuneatly I did not order the scallopini - but my husband did and we were both hooked. We returned for the family size portion and it was just as de-lish.    [16 Dec 2001 01:26:24]

Best Italian in the Lewisville Area.
I need to say up front that I worked as a server at this Carino's several years ago. It should be a glowing recommendation that I'll still eat there after being behind the scenes. Most restaurants that I've worked at I will no longer patronize. This Carino's is the CLEANEST, FRIENDLIEST restaurant I have ever worked in. The food is absolutely wonderful- try the Spicey Romano Chicken and the Angel Hair with Artichokes... YUM!
The service is usually excellent due to the looong training period all the servers have to pass, but every once in a while you'll get a dud- someone who doesn't seem to want to be there.
Most of the waiters at this location have worked there three years or more. I worked there in 2001 and still see people I worked with when I go in to eat.
The staff at Carino's is happy and family-like and it comes through in the excellent food. Management encourages the cooks/chefs to come up with their own recipes and offer them as specials. The Bowtie Festival is a favorite that a former manager developed and it's still on the menu. The Jalapeno Garlic Tilapia drifts through my dreams. Delicious!    [21 Jun 2005 12:25:59]

Chicken Scallopini Recipe Wanted
