Oceans of Seafood
This is a great spot for freshly-caught seafood. The staff was friendly and informative. The appearance isn't really the main attraction, but it's great for a casual lunch or dinner. We make it a point to come here whenever we're in Port Aransas. It's about the only place where I can reliably find fresh grouper, drum, and other locally-caught fish.    [19 Feb 2005 19:54:10]

Went Back for Seconds
First time to eat there. Absolutely wonderful flavor and great service. Fair prices. It was so good we went back the next day! Extremely casual, wild colors on the exterior, wasn't sure it was a restaurant at first.    [10 Apr 2006 08:16:58]

Love, love, LOVE this place!!!
I can't tell you how many times I've eaten at this tiny hole-in-the-wall establishment and loved it!! Don't let outward appearances deter you. I just ate there today, 3/23/07, and it was wonderfully fresh. I had the crab cake and french fries for $9.95. Again, don't let the price scare you either, as the size of the single crab cake is breathtaking...easily equivelant to 3 smaller cakes. I cannot recommend this place enough!!!    [23 Mar 2007 18:40:38]

Average On My Visit
Had the grilled Amberjack and it wasn't bad, just a bit overcooked. Stay completely away from the seafood gumbo - it was bland and thin, (watery) with a very light roux. I've tasted better out of a can. Prices were very reasonable, though, and the staff was friendly. Okay place for some cheap, average seafood.    [26 Jul 2007 21:23:09]

Will never eat there again
After reading the other reviews, I was expecting a great dining experience. What we got was a nightmare. The shellaced chunkboard particle board walls with trash hanging all over them, should have given me the first clue. There was only 1 other couple in the restaurant but it took the waitress a good 10 minutes to decide to bring us a menu. Menu prices were just as high as the real class restaurants on the island but not worthy of it. After ordering and receiving only part of our order, we had to ask 3 times for silverware and napkins. The rest of the order took another 10 minutes so we ate separately. The cook delivered our order in a dirty t-shirt, shorts and sandles. After our order, the cook went over to the cashier station to make some phone calls licking his fingers to page through the phone book. The lady owner was over at the fresh sea food counter cussing up a storm and then realized we were in the restaurant and turned to us and said, what she meant to say was "shoot". If that wasn't enough, the real clencher was when the cook went back in to the kitchen to start cooking the next order for a couple that just came in. We watched him cook the next order through the order window with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth the whole time. Stear clear of this HOT ORANGE color painted hole in the wall.    [08 Jun 2008 18:32:11]
