The Durning house is one of my favorite places to dine. I have never stayed at the bed and breakfast but, I have at there many times. The food is very tasty and I have never had anything I did not like.    [10 Feb 2004 10:43:49]

Favorite Tea Room
The Durning House is a family favorite. Even the men in family love it. The atmosphere is very inviting. The tables are set with mix matched silverware and dishes which I found quite charming. The smell of homemade bread fills the air and warms your heart. I typically have their chicken spaghetti which is truly the best that I've ever had. I proceeded to buy their cookbook and started testing some of their recipes...all of which turned out perfect. My mother-in-law, who is an excellent cook, threw out her 30 year old chicken spaghetti recipe when she tasted mine. What a huge compliment. My husband and I enjoy dining here on special occasions, but it is also a breath of fresh air any time we want to escape the big city and get a taste of home.    [10 Feb 2004 13:55:33]

We have had several visits to Durning House and have enjoyed every visit. The food is great, service is good and friendly, and the house is, well, takes you back in years, lovely.
