Nice Try
My overall impression of Joanie's is that it has the potential of being a very good family restaurant but falls short of that potential.

The service was prompt but the waitress forgot half the items ordered, and my partner was served her order at least 10 minutes before my order was served. If we had wanted to dine separatly, we'd have sat in separate booths.

The steak I ordered tasted and looked boiled rather than grilled...and I do mean boiled...it was flaverless and tough.

The place was spotless and the decor modern and impressive. There is plenty of parking. The staff is friendly...and they do try...but just don't quite make it.    [23 Jun 2002 00:18:35]
