The only restaurant open in Leeds when we were there The food is quite good, probably better than one might expect on the edge of the Utah desert. The catfish was hot and served with sauces and lemon; the cole slaw was very good and the baked potato was done to perfection. And the hush-puppies were very good. The place needs a liquor license; ready for a martini and/or a glass of wine, I had ice tea (perhaps a bit on the wild side of what was available) and my wife had water.
Service was better than one might expect in a small rural community. The hostess/waitress came back to our table within two minutes; beverages came two minutes later, and we ordered immediately. Our dinners were brought out less than 10 minutes later. Refills on drinks were offered frequently and cheerfully. The check was delivered without asking, after the obligatory suggestion of dessert, which neither of us were ready to do. (But it sounded wonderful)!
Ambiance. Not much; it is just a small home-town diner with several plastic covered tables. But quite a few of this type of restaurant have proven to be sources of good eating; this is no exception.
Overall. Gourmet, it is not. Good food, it is. And it is not expensive. Our dinners and beverages, with tip, came to about $17.00.
It is on the north edge of Leeds, just off Exit 23 from I-15 from the north. And it is well worth your stop. Warning, it may not be open on Sundays because of the predominent religion. [12 Jun 2001 21:16:57]

If you like catfish, you have to try Catfish Charlie's, it's good, hot, and served with grace and humor. The price is good and great service. It's a family style place owned and run by people that know what they are doing! My husband and I eat there once a week and often our daughter and her husband join us there for dinner.
Charlie is a bit of a tease and makes you feel right at home...and that's what it is, good home cooking. We've tried it all, right down to the peach cobbler with ice cream and loved every bite. [24 Sep 2004 16:30:59]
