Great Breakfast - Great Service A mile away hundreds of people wait in line at the Arlington IHOP in the local strip mall, where Arlington diner immediately seats and serves in a clean, friendly environment. [25 Jul 2003 17:26:49]

Consistently, very good After several visits, I admit this place has grown on me. Much on the menu is average, but gyro and lemon chicken soup are great. Generous servings at great prices. Never a wait for a table, a plus. A local gem. [20 Apr 2007 17:09:43]

A Local Gem Sometimes it's easy to forget about the mom and pop stores but this diner always stands out. I'm always amazed that how early and late it stays open. The BLT sandwich rocks and breakfast is always delicious. But remember to bring cash. [21 Jul 2007 13:31:30]

Food for the soul as well as the body I found the Diner entirely by accident, and now drive up from Fort Belvoir at least once a week to eat a good meal and bask in the warmth of this wonderful place. It is truly a refuge in this pressure-cooker environment. [03 Sep 2007 11:09:25]

Decent Value, Barely Acceptable Service I stopped at the Arlington Diner with some friends on a weekday around 7pm. There were only several other tables in the whole place. Although the server greeted us promptly, it became aware that she spoke very little English, and had a tough time answering our questions about the menu. Since the server couldn't tell me about what comes with the specials, I settled for a burger and fries. Our food was an okay value for Arlington, my half pound burger and fries was 7.95. The server did not come to the table after delivering the food unless we waved her down, and again, I don't think she understood much of what we requested, and she answered mostly with the word "'kay". I had planned on treating my friends to a meal, but when I gave the server my credit card, she told me in broken English that they don't accept cards. I asked why and she gave me a disheartening stare. Only one member of our party had cash, so she had to pay for the entire meal. If you are looking for a cheaper restaurant serving Greek food, and don't mind shoddy service, the Arlington Diner might be for you. Anyone else, I would not recommend. [19 Dec 2007 16:48:05]
