Great service, so-so food One thing I will say for Bellissimo, their service is terrific. The wait staff treats customers like royalty, constantly fussing over them to make sure their every need is met. They would come up wanting if you had to rate them by the food alone. So-so Italian food, creatively conceived but inexpertly executed, for downtown prices in Fairfax City. Customers would be better served with the cook responsible for a less demanding cuisine more moderately priced. [29 Aug 2003 09:10:15]

They treat you like family This is a fantastic restaurant, willing to do whatever it takes to make you happy. When my wife was being treated for cancer, they provided take-out for her birthday! [13 Feb 2004 17:19:23]

Family's favorite We usually go here for special occasions and it is always such a treat. The staff are consummate professionals and always very welcoming. The four times I've been the food has been excellent and although a little traditional, the flavors are mixed well. Desserts are decadent and always served with complimentary amaretto or sambuca apertifs. The only thing I would change is that the meal tends to go a little fast. The attentiveness of the servers tends to make us eat faster than we'd like instead of having the traditional 2 hour italian dinner. Then again, it is understandably a small intimate place, and without any turnover, this restaurant might not survive [17 Feb 2004 10:07:35]
