Not Impressed Upon hearing that Rabieng was the less expensive sister restaurant of our favorite Thai place, my husband and I just had to try it out!
The food was good, no doubt about it but it was obvious where the $1-$2 per entree price difference from Duangrat's came from. The Pad Thai was two-thirds the size of Duangrat's and instead of having an entire soft shelled crab, there were two "crab finger".
The restaurant is rather small and not nearly as comfortable as Duangrat's either. To save a total of $5, we did not think it was worth it. [18 Nov 2002 21:15:35]

HEALTH CONSCIOUS Have been to Rabieng many times and would probably have continued if my issue had been properly issued yesterday. There was a live roach on the plate! The waiter neither apologized or acknowledged the issue when he replaced (at least I hope he did) the plate. A call to the manager got a weak apology and an excuse of poor communication between us and the waiter. [02 Jun 2003 11:25:08]

Good Stuff I prefer this place to Duangrats. Better food, much more interesting decor. They have a sauteed cashew appetizer that is amazing. [01 Aug 2003 09:40:16]
