The Best of Loudoun Have dined at Lightfoot three times. Would have done so more often if it were easier to get in.
The food here as always been exceptional. The menu offers tremendous variety and have yet to have a dish that didn't meet or exceed expectations. The appetizers, in particular, offer a profusion of wonderful choices (I have been tempted to forego the main entree in favor of 2-3 starters).
The wine list is quite good with a large price range for all tastes and budgets (though this restaurant is not cheap by any measure).
Service has never disappointed [18 May 2002 10:33:44]

Best Restaurant in the Area Always makes the Top 100 DC restaurant list - and DC is 60 miles away! Very good food, nice atmosphere. Try the soups - incredible. Everything is very good. Why eat anywhere else in Leesburg? [31 Jul 2003 17:53:26]

Consistently Outstanding Never had a bad meal, or even a mediocre dish at Lightfoot. Service is terrific, too. Call way ahead to get a reservation. [22 Mar 2004 17:28:44]

Disappointed This was my first tip to Lightfoot and, despite being disappointed, I would go back. My wife and I ordered an appetizer, soup, salad, and a meal. In hindsight that was far to much as after the first three courses neither one of us was particularly hungry.
My disappointment was in the staging of the meal. The waiter forgot the appetizer until after we had finished the soup and salad. He then put in the order for the appetizer and I suspect that our entrees were already being prepared in the kitchen.
After a brief delay we were served the appetizer and then waited at least a half hour for the entrees. When they were served parts of my wife's meal was cold and the sauce on the pork chop I ordered tasted as if it had been cooked too long.
If we had stopped after the appetizer, soup, and salad we would have left the restaurant fat and happy. [24 Oct 2005 11:22:02]
