Good service, clean and good home cooked meals. The fried chicken was plump and juicy on the inside and tasty on the outside. [22 Apr 2001 19:09:03]

Favorite stopping place We found this restaurant by accident when looking for our way back to I-81 and have always tried to make it here at breakfast time for the best bacon we've ever eaten. [11 Dec 2003 17:52:27]

Southern Style Breakfast I live in NY. The rest of my family lives in Florida. Whenever we go to visit them, we always stay in New Market on the way down and on the way back. And we always eat breakfast at the Southern Kitchen Restaurant! We've done this for almost 20 years now and I'm looking forward to next week when we're doing it again! [17 Apr 2004 13:40:49]

Great Atmosphere, Great service Just happend to come across this wonderful place on our travels. You are immediatly transported back in time with its decor and the locals that frequent this place seem to be pentioners who spin thier yarns with each other. Large extended families seem to gather here also. The service was great. We had an old-time waitress (probably a working mother) who, with her southern drawl worked our table endlessly with a friendly attitude. My daughter and I ate out every night for 10 days on our trip, this waitress got the biggest tip. The food was great. If you can imagine your grandmother cooking dinner for you with homemade recipes and always giving you a healthy portion, well this is it. I can't say enough. Good dining is good food and good atmoshere. This is it!! [20 Sep 2005 18:59:31]
