Spicey, unique and sooooo good
Visit the Blue cactus in the Hilton Village area of Newport News on occasion and it has never "let me down". The decor might not be five star but the braised lamb chops, or adobe shrimp certainly are. The only problem is knowing when the owners open the restaurant - some nights it is not opened - some nights it is. My wife and I only hope business is good for them and that they open on a more consistent basis.    [05 Jan 2007 17:15:27]

Great Food and Service
I had never heard of the Blue Castus until one day shopping in Hilton Village we stopped in for dinner. The friendly and fast service was great. I had the Salmon which practically melted in your mouth. The Margaritas were excellent!!! I've been back 3 times in the last month. I highly recommend The Blue Cactus!!!!    [14 Aug 2007 10:57:53]

Good food but strange hours
The food is great if you like Tex-Mex. Sometimes the restaurant closes early or doesn't open at all. I've looked forward to lunch there several times only to find that they have closed unexpectedly.    [21 Jul 2008 17:31:48]
