The Best Consistent Tex-Mex Around
Full menu, but I usually stick with the combo fajitas with a side of queso! Two persons can share a 'single' order of fajitas for a very inexpensive night out. Also the 'swirls' which are a mix of margarita and sangria are really good and pack a punch. I've been to RG hundreds of times and I've never once had any problem with the service (except for occasionaly @ the bar), but never at the tables. Isn't up to the hype.
Although the food is mediocre, this place just isn't worth the hype. We had a group of 15 dining here recently, and the music was far too loud. We felt as though we were in a techno club. We politely asked the manager to turn it down, so we could hear each other speak. Not only did he not turn it down, but he gave us attitude.    [12 Aug 2004 10:48:51]

This Rio Grande is Great
Thanks for the awesome swirls and the awesome julios gold. I had the time of my life here while visiting town from out of town. I'm all about the rich sauces in my enchiladas. Don't eat here!
Went to the Rio Grande Cafe last week, on a business luncheon. We all (a group of about 10 people altogetheR) ordered their chicken fajitas. Even though our meals were delicious, we ALL got food poisoning! The chicken was not prepared properly. Not to mention it was HORRIBLY crowded when we went (11:40 a.m.), and it was so loud, we couldn't hear the people sitting right next to us.
