Awesome Tapas Great new restaurant - will definitely become a regular on our list. Food is so tasty, atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, prices are very reasonable. Beautiful bar and outstanding view of the lake. [04 Mar 2006 11:32:27]

Nice Change Finally a cool bar and lounge that has personality and not a Reston Town Center feel. The Bar has a warm feel and the dining room is a nice change from the previous Il Cigno. Can't wait till the patio opens! I think their target market is 25-45 crowds...It will rock! [08 Mar 2006 21:28:48]

Nice food - but service? They have to do better on service to get more than a couple stars from us. First time we went the server argued with us when we wanted her to ask the chef a question. Second time it took more than 10 minutes to get a soda after our order was taken although there were only a few patrons. [07 Jun 2006 20:39:07]

A Great Place to Chill!! Finally!! I checked this place out recently with some friends and was very impressed. The bar is very eye-catching, with a pair of plasmas over a beautiful wall of tan and dark-colored rocks. Good microbrews available, which is a nice change from other places in the area. The menu is primarily tapas dishes. The choices are unique, and just the right size to snack and share with others. The fried plantains, red pepper hummus, and marinated beef tips are delicious. The bar featured live music too. Young professional crowd, definitely a great place to chill and meet people. Highly recommend. [25 Sep 2006 21:31:03]

Sadly Disappointed! The Tavern has the potential to be a great place. It has been nicely decorated, good ambiance, the owners are friendly (rarely seen in later months), the bar staff & several servers are good. Unfortunately the food is quite inconsistent (sad to say more bad than good). Occasionally will get a draft beer that tastes like soap. The Chef refuses changes to dishes (we offered to pay for 1 extra scallop & he refused to accommodate). On a positive note, Thurs. nights are great fun for live music. [12 Oct 2006 20:05:57]

Have to disagree I don't know what night you were there but the chef will rarely refuse to accomodate special requests. Possibly the server did not want to ask. They have the best food in the area and it gets better all the time. [28 Oct 2006 17:01:08]

Pleasantly Surprised! I came back to this place because I had heard about some of the buzz around the office… the restaurant before was abysmal and a drab so my expectations weren’t high at all… I figured the place would reek of the same nonsense… BUT was I wrong! A great young professional crowd with some of the tastiest food I have experienced in a while – well at least outside of the beltway. The beer selection is perfect for me since I like to wander from the mainstream - so if you are looking for some different but tasty food and a good beer this place may be worth checking out. They had a pretty awesome band in when I was there. [29 Oct 2006 20:04:24]

Going Down the Tubes They have stopped serving lunch, the waitstaff is always argumentative and the food is very inconsistent. I am sad to see it failing so badly. It had the potential to be the flagship restaurant at Lake Anne, but sadly, it is failing miserably. [04 Jan 2007 14:25:29]
