Great for late night
If it's 2 or 3 a.m. and you're hungy this is the spot for you, as they are open 24 hours. It's a popular place to go after bars in Shockoe Bottom or The Fan close.

Food is good, service is quick. Prices are very resonable.    [20 Jul 2000 02:25:31]

taste of the big city in small town
the food is great and the price is too. more importantly are the waitresses and bartender's - nobody makes you feel more at home. i could go there with my grandmother, my drag friends, my father or anyone!    [26 Jan 2002 19:30:58]

Lousy
I have frequented both the 3rd St. and 4th St. diners and 3rd St. comes out the loser. Sure, the waitresses are hot and the place used to be a morgue, but the food ALWAYS sucks. At 3 AM on a Saturday night, at their busiest time, I understand service will be slow. I still want good food, eventually, and I go to 4th St. instead for it.    [16 Apr 2003 19:43:43]

OK place considering it's 24-7, and it's a great place to study late and get some grub and coffe while you're at it. Certainly not the best place to dine but ideal for many college students.    [12 May 2003 21:22:31]
