Under new ownership The previous owner, described as sarcastic by some, has been replaced by a new, young, personable owner/chef names Jeff Baird. If you appreciate high end restaurants add this little gem to the list of your favorites. The atmosphere feels cozy and private with soft music and a low noise level, conducive to easy conversation. The wait staff effortlessly walks that fine line between service and invisibility. The food is fantastic. The duck special with garlic mashed potatoes was delicious as was the unique offering of a dish combining seafood with macaroni and cheese. Dessert followed suit with one favorite being bread pudding with bourbon sauce. Great meal, lovely place. [12 Dec 2007 15:29:16]

NOT the Avenue 805 I remember The hostess never once cracked a smile. The waitress came and was clueless. Three wines – red, white and pink. We asked what kind the white was and was it a chardonnay….she said no, I don’t think it is, but I’ll check. She went away and came back. Chardonnay. We asked if the red was merlot, cabernet, whatever. She didn’t know…..came back. Cabernet. Pink – she was clueless….We went for the red. There are THREE WINES for cheap date night, red pink and white. What the heck? Is that too difficult. The waitress brought it to the table ALREADY OPENED. Brought bread. Burnt bottom and no butter……we poured the oil on the plate that we saw sitting in the corner of our table. No seasonings. Just oil. Salad came. Croutons not edible. Burnt to a crisp. We ordered angel hair w/chicken and meat sauce. Very plain. Not the same as it was with previous owners. Dessert was good, but that’s about it. Will not go back. Who brings wine to the table already opened? [23 Jan 2008 12:15:26]
