Description
Fun, Elegant dining on the water, with a great view and friendly service staff. Only 20 minutes from the Virginia Beach courthouse, but is very secluded. New owners purchased it after 32 years, and it has been receiving a face lift, in both features, and menu quality. Excellent steaks and seafood - consistently good!

Very different and fun! I really liked our dinner there. My mom was very happy, and that makes me happy. She picked the place and it is right on the water with great views from just about all the tables. There was a little wedding going on and they had some kids, but they were mostly in their own room. The food was delicious. [20 Nov 2005 19:41:19]

Refreshing, not stuffy or prissy I felt at ease, very comfortable, but nice. Food was really good and we sat by the fireplace. Overall a memorable meal. [18 Feb 2006 06:43:48]

What the heck? What is this restaurant doing in the middle of farm land? Who could possibly find this place? Well apparently a lot of people, because we had to wait for a table in December. Nice cozy fireplace tables, excellent scallops wrapped with bacon, good country-type service (not very sophisticated, but made up for it with sincere friendliness). I had shrimp stuffed with crabcakes and it was wonderful, my husband had the scallops and the black bean salsa. It's an interesting menu, very ecclectic. Overall a suprisingly pleasant experience. I definitely recommend it, and I understand in the summer they are quite busy. The next time we go, we are canoeing down the Back Bay. Talk about not drinking and driving! The perfect way to paddle your way home. [14 Jan 2007 14:10:12]

My best meal ever I don't know what it was, the timing, the beautiful day or just my wonderful family, but I had perhaps the best dinner of my life at this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was flawless. I had the halibut with pecans and honey, my husband had the steak special with the chef's names. We had a table right on the water and it was completely pleasant. We've eaten at many restaurants in the area when we have vacationed here, and I must say this was truly the best. The wedding in the next room was getting a little wild, but you couldn't even hear it through the glass. My 10 year old fed the huge fish in their pond after dinner, and we all had just a great time. I can't say enough about how great it was. [05 Aug 2007 13:18:08]
