Can't Ask for Better Food Truly, this is the best, most-creative food I've had. Chef formerly of The Perfect Pear in Bradford. Soups, salads, and entrees to die for. Desserts too. I have no complaints about this place. Even the prices are fair. Some may not like the counter ordering for lunch, but at dinner table service is provided. [26 Jan 2006 12:00:05]

A Must This cafe is casual; you will feel right at home in jeans or a suit. Food far better then most places in the "upper valley." I have to say you will not be able to find better food for a better price, which meant a lot to us, seeing as we had two children in tow. We had the pork and ginger meatloaf and herb-crusted cod. The chef had no problems making a grilled cheese for our son. They really make you feel comfortable. [25 Feb 2006 16:29:17]

Yes! White River Indie Film Festival We missed dinner at the cafe but the weekend we stopped by they were hosting a film festival, what a great find, we took in two great movies, enjoyed a vegan sandwich, tomato basil soup and very enjoyable curried popcorn. The staff was fun and helpful. Took a menu home with us. Can't wait for our next visit to Vermont to try dinner. I guess it was so nice to see a cafe breaking out of the norms. [10 May 2006 17:50:42]

Terrific Salads and Soup I had the creamy Southwestern corn soup (chowder) and was so impressed with this soup that was delicious and light in the middle of summer. Redolent with corn, black beans, chorizo and bacon (I think) I really need this recipe. My salad with foccacia sandwich with figs and gorgonzola was also delicious, though from the menu description I thought that the cheese and figs were on the salad instead of on the bread.
