Do Not Miss this Restaurant! Four Swallows is no small town diner! The food, service and atmosphere are easily on par with places in Seattle such as The Palace Kitchen and 727. The prices are VERY resonable and every member of the staff is knowledgeable and pleasant. The menu changes daily to include the freshest items that season has to offer. Fabulous.
It's sophisticated enough to entertain clients, and yet is comfortable for families with well-behaved children. My husband and I are not gushers - I've never written one of these before, but this place is too good to keep secret. [19 Aug 2002 17:12:23]

A Romantic Must Try Restaurant The Four Swallows Restaurant was an amazing experience for both my husband and I. It had the perfect romantic ambiance that we were looking for and the food was the best we've ever had. It made our romantic getaway to Bainbridge Island better than we had ever hoped for. If you go there...ask to have Terry as your waiter...he's perfect! [13 Nov 2004 17:07:37]

Why we live on Bainbridge Island The Four Swallows has introduced us to many world class wines, the food is always inspired and interesting. Our first dinner at this restaurant convinced us to move to the island 10 years ago, and it continues to please and surprise us. It is a great place to bring friends to, they are always impressed! Go out of your way to get here! Just the ambiance entering the door invited myself and date in. Great atmosphere and easy to feel comfortable in. We wanted to spend hours just talking in the comfortable enviornment. Then the food! Made to the finest specs for any high brow mainland resturaunt. And, oh ya, it was great to eat too. It definitely surpassed what I had expected. Perfect for a nice romantic dinner, but recommended for any occasion. Well versed staff, and great wine and dessert selection too! Have one of each, you wont regret it! I know I'll be back sometime. [27 Mar 2005 01:49:47]

for people with celiacs- don't go!!! I have been to a number of upscale restaraunts in the Seattle area, but I haven't had such a bad dining experience that I needed to write a review on it. I have a very common food allergy - wheat/gluten- celiacs disease. I informed the server upon arrival about my allergy and he let me know it would be no problem. People with my allergy so often get left out of meals, because of breads, desserts etc... but usually when I go to a nicer restaraunt they are more than willing to accomadate my food needs... however for an appetizer I was offered a plate of almonds and for dessert I was offered a bowl of berries... no cream or chocolate sauce. After spending over $200 on the meal I felt the berries was a slap in the face. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone with a wheat/gluten allergy. I am writing a letter to the owners of this restaraunt to let them know about my dining experience and that their establishment needs to keep on hand a more accomadating menu for people affected by this allergy..
