Happy Eastern Canadians!
A group of us, all women in our 40s, had occasion to be in Seattle for a conference in April. We took the ferry to Bainbridge Island on the recommendation of some Seattle-ites and were not disappointed by the fine food and wine at Winslow Way Cafe. There was a time when Winslow Way Cafe was a great option for Sunday brunch or dinner. My husband and I felt comfortable taking out of town guests there since the menu was pretty diverse and food/service were consistent, the last 3 years however has brought us to question what is going on there! Food, service and overall charm has taken a nosedive. We do not even think about going there anymore! The service the last couple of times we went was so bad that we were certain the doors would be closed for good very soon.    [17 Oct 2005 03:14:18]

Really Bad Service
The waitress we had was rude and inattentive, and we had to wait a very long time to get the bill. The food wasn't bad, but nothing special. There were flies in the dining area and the bathroom was poorly maintained. We will never go back and do not recommend this restaurant to anyone.    [10 Sep 2006 01:15:58]

Great Time!!
Im not sure about the other reviews but my dinners/lunches/brunches have always been on target!!! Great service, always a popular place for large groups or families or that special date. Come in early enough to grab the couches in the bar on a cool winter night in front of the fireplace. Great wine list and always fresh specials.    [08 Nov 2006 21:02:10]

Charming...Really
