GREAT FOOD Great food. Just like old-fashioned cooking! Reminds me of a diner in the 1950s or 1960s. They play catchy oldie tunes all day from Motown to Elvis Presley.
Staff is very nice and make lots of rounds to refill drinks or make sure everything is OK!
I always go to eat for breakfast! Anything on their breakfast menu is fantastic!
I've eaten a couple of times for lunch and dinner. Their burgers are HUGE! Their salads are fresh. Steak and shrimp are large portions.
Fridays and Saturdays they have homemade clam chowder! It is the best clam chowder I've very tasted! I come here regularly for this clam chowder alone.
They have the best tasting fresh squeezed orange juice around! I also love their desserts and old-fashioned soda fountains. You can order an ice-cream soda, Italian soda, old-fashioned milkshake, caramel coke, etc. Fudge cake, apple pies, and various other pies are homemade. You can even order a pie or two to take home yourself.
If you want some of that nostalgic home cooking, try Big Apple Diner! [22 Sep 2006 00:13:54]
