Celebrating our anniversary at your restaurant On Wednesday 15th 2002, me, my wife, and my son went to your restaurant and tried your food "KEG sirloin" and for my wife, she ordered "chicken and ribs honey barbeque" and when we tried those foods (dinner), it was far from good. Why we say that? All in all, because: 1. the meat is hard to chew and too dry. (both foods) 2. The taste is not good (I know this is relative) but I compare with other exclusive restaurant, your food is bad. 3. The service is good. 4. After we ate and went home, I felt no good, I started to coughing and itchy throat and I'm sure that it was happening after I went from your restaurant. Probably she/he (the chef) sick while she/he cooking the dishes. 5.The salad is not exclusive salad (Caesar salad) because it made just from the ordinary dressing and of course my wife can make better than your salad. We compare all with other exclusive restaurant that we have gone before and your restaurant is not good. From that day, we kinda had unsatisfied for all your services and of course we had to pay expensive for those foods without feeling well. I hope with this letter you can examine all your product and thanks for your attention. Harlan Hilman Unsatisfied Customer [16 May 2002 12:15:29]

Food and service....fantastic We have dinner at the Keg between 6-10 times a year and we have never been disappointed. Although it is very crowded when we go (usually on a Saturday night), the service is very good and the food is FANTASTIC! A few weekends ago, we were meeting up with friends at the Keg and although the place was jammed packed, the maitre d' remembered that our friends had arrived and were waiting for us. We even managed to get to the bar for a drink. Those strawberry daiquiris are something else. Our baseball steaks are always medium rare as ordered and the baked potato is just right. We bring friends with us most of the time and just like us they usually go back again and again. It's not the place for a nice romantic dinner but it is a great place to go with friends. We give it 5 stars for its steak. [05 Feb 2003 13:44:56]

Yum! My family and I love The Keg and continue to have excellent service and delicious meals from them. It's consistently good year after year. The Caesar salad is great and so are the chicken strips and sandwiches from the lunch menu. [27 Feb 2006 19:39:25]

Not great, but very good We stopped into the keg this weekend and were pleasantly surprised at the very nice decor. While the restaurant was a bit darker than we usually like, the lighting at the table was just right (I hate having to use the cell phone back light to read a menu).
Service was right on top of things. We got our water and menus almost immediately and she returned promptly to take our orders.
I ordered the ribs and chicken bar-b-cue and my wife ordered the prime rib.
My wife's Caesar salad came out first and was very good with large shavings of Parmesan.
When the meals arrived, the server had brought me chicken tenders instead of what I ordered. I told her what I had ordered and she was embarrassed that she heard wrong and ran back to the kitchen to get my order entered right.
Meanwhile my wife's prime rib was spiced nicely, had almost no fat and was cooked exactly as she asked ... the rare side of medium rare. Unfortunately they use real horseradish and we are used to getting creamed junk at most other prime rib places so her first taste blew her head off! But she adjusted and loved every bite.
When my diner arrived (about five minutes later), the taste of the chicken was wonderful. It had soaked up the smokiness of the grill and the sweet tank of the sauce. While the ribs were very tender, there really wasn't much flavor ... compared to the chicken. Must not have had enough fat to impart that barbecue taste.
Now, to top off the evening, the server asked us if we would like to take the mis-ordered chicken and fries in a to-go box. Worked great for lunch the next day!
The only unpleasant part of the evening had nothing to do with the restaurant, but with it's patrons. I don't know much about the area, but a LOT of the patrons were dressed way below what the place deserved ... cut off shorts, muscle shirts on guys and even a table of guys and their dates that looked as if they came right from the oil change shop without even washing up. While this is rated as a dressy casual place, they should have SOME dress code enforcement. There is nothing appetizing about having to look at a greazy furry dude's armpits and knobby knees.
