Fun, Fun, Fun, Great Staff This was a fun place to eat. Great tasting selection of sausages and excellent beer. It was outdoors seating and we were allowed to have our dog come with us. The staff was a fun loving bunch and worked hard to please us. Best sauerkraut (apple cider kraut) in town. At least go there once to experience the taste of Leavenworth. Prices were best in town.

Outdoor Fun Beer Garden! Here is a family friendly beer garden, outdoors, with smoking, all kind of sausage and beers to enjoy, and even live music some weekends! Never had so much fun! [10 Jul 2005 00:23:15]

Can't Get Enough This is the best place in Leavenwoth. I wish my belly were bigger so I could fit more of the delicious beer and brats in it. I swear my daughter (she was just born) came out pickled in the juices of Oma's Knackwurst. The new deck is a fantastic place to relax with friends and brew. I recommend this place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. [23 May 2006 20:56:52]

Best Beer Garden & Sausages in Leavenworth! Munchen Haus is a must-stop destination every time we visit Leavenworth! We love their delicious sausages and mustards (try the Sweet & Sour mustard!) and their apple cider sauerkraut is the best I've tasted. They have delicious German and local beers that aren't too expensive, yummy warm pretzels, and hot spiced wine in the winter. We also love that you can take your dog with you, and our lab loves it!
As a tip, be sure to sit on their new upstairs deck to get a great Mountain view and catch some rays! Also, sometimes they have an accordion player who takes requests--even Disney tunes and some pop-rock. [23 Mar 2007 03:57:39]

Munchin' at the Munchen Haus When we rolled into Leavenworth last night, the first thing on mine and my husband's mind was authentic German food. We'd been to Leavenworth twelve years previously (give or take) and had a great meal at the brewery on Front street. We thought we'd found it, went in, sat down, and were surprised by Italian dishes and an over-anxious staff. Politely excusing ourselves, we ran out the doors, down the street and found the beer garden, Munchen Haus. My initial thought was that it couldn't be all that bad, but my husband freaked like he'd died and gone to heaven. Would we go in? You bet.
He ordered "The Big Bob" which is a big bratwurst. He loved the topping bar, which included Apple Cider Kraut and every-mustard-on-the-planet (yay!) I ordered Oma's (something)wurst (Bockwurst?) filled with pork and veal. With the celery and herbs inside, it was fabulous.
While my husband picked out beers, I straddled up to a table next to their cozy outdoor fireplace. Being early March, the plowed piles of snow stand high here in the Cascades, as a reminder of the hard winter Washington state survived this winter.
My husband picked a dark German beer, which I helped him with over his paler pick for me. Delicious. Previously ambivelent, I'm now a fan. [10 Mar 2008 19:58:28]
