Soup Cellar a must when in Leavenworth Thought they discountinued the tradition of stapling dollar bills to the ceiling and walls, the soup cellar continues to deliver the best chili and service. [16 Jun 2006 18:53:46]

serve the soup and don't dish the gossip Being a local I thought it fun to dine out with company and decided to give the soup cellar a try. The food wasn't that bad and I enjoyed the salad bar best but........... along with the meal I and all my guests got an earful of local gossip. Not the thing to do when others are sittig so near and acutally know the people who are being victimized by the owners who represent our beautiful village. So....... I say to the Murphy's, mind your own business and don't talk trash especially about other shops and their employees. You never know who might be sitting behind you. [30 Jun 2006 20:09:18]

Okay - could be wonderful Lunch was bustling. Chicken Noodle was too peppery for my 10 yo who adores soup. Cheerful Service. Fine French Dip. Salad Bar was uninspired. [17 Jul 2006 17:30:19]

Which Soup Cellar Did You All Eat At? I wish I could give this place good remarks but I must admit, I was far less than satisfied. The split pea and the French dip (FD) were both far too salty even for me, and I love salt. To add insult to injury the beef in the FD was chewy and flavorless. Looking at the pictures it seems the ambiance of old (currency stapled to the walls) is now gone and this place is a less than awesome whole-in-the-wall. That being said, the staff was nice, but this is not enough to convince me to return. Overall, dissappointment. [11 Nov 2006 18:15:00]
