One of the best places in Renton to go out for lunch
This is one of the best places in Renton to go for lunch - and the people who work in Renton know it - lots of lunchtime meetings are held there.    [16 Jan 2002 18:36:01]

Best Food South of Seattle?
The homebaked goodies and bread are most definitely worth the visit. However, in 2 of 3 visits, the appetizers or main course were either too salty or too bland. Perhaps this is a result of the restaurant having such an overstated reputation and therefore being very busy almost always. Of course, my pickiness may be due to my living on the East Coast previously (where inexpensive but delicious food is plentiful) or the fact that I actually make many of these dishes at home and enjoy them there much more. With that said, it is still one of the better Renton restaurants and, as mentioned previously, the baked goods are scrumptious.    [03 May 2002 12:54:28]

TOTALLY AWESOME SERVICE, EXCELLENT MEAL STARTERS TO FINISHERS
My boyfriend and I have recently started meeting each other for lunch about once a week for the past couple of months. I usually just go with what ever he chooses because I have been buying a new home and have been quite broke, so he pays. I was finally able to treat him to lunch and it was my turn to choose a restaurant that is close to my work and I chose to go to Jubilante. We were greeted by Kelly in the most pleasant manner. She seated us in a semi-private location and informed us of the specials. She was totally awesome and I will go back just to see her. The cuisine was shared by my boyfriend and myself and it was the perfect size for us to share without getting stuffed and then she ever so gently suggested a dessert. She's so good at her people skills she deserves a promotion. When we left your restaurant we clearly made the decision together that we will come back to have dinner on the Jazz nights and will also have lunch there again. By far the best lunch that we have experienced together.

Thank you,

Harry and Muf    [01 Aug 2002 19:23:40]

8/20 Dinner
My wife and I came to Renton last evening to attend Dralion-and ate at Jubilante. Although 'most' of food was good-we had the worst service ever! The female server was so inadequate (slow, non-responsive,...) but not nearly as unattentive and rude as the evening's manager! I spend part of my time running a local Renton company, and wanted to experience this recommended restaurant, but will absolutely NOT eat here again.    [21 Aug 2002 14:55:30]

It's Not Bad
Had lunch here today. Didn't even know the place existed. There wasn't much of a noontime crowd so I was a bit concerned. We actually had to seat ourselves... don't know where the host was. So we get seated and it takes FOREVER to get waited on... then it takes another 20 minutes to get our food. But here is the problem. The food was very good. Fresh, well presented, tasty. So that made up for the not so good service. The wait staff, when they did come around, were very pleasant. Ah well... we'll eat there again and recommend it. Just don't count on super fast stellar service.    [04 Sep 2002 19:10:33]

The Best in Renton
My wife and I visit Jubilante regularly for supper. Its selection of food and wines is more like what you'd expect in downtown Seattle, but without the hassle. It's definitely my choice for a nice dinner in Renton.

Of course, if you're from the East Coast, you'll want to move back home so you can enjoy the superior restaurants there.    [27 Feb 2003 19:30:31]

Great food & music
It was a Friday evening we didn't know what to expect and when we got there the cleanliness and decor was first noticed. The service was awesome. We had calamari for appetizer and it was the best we have ever had in the style that it was cooked. We had two different types of the pasta dish and it was excellent! Kudos to the chef! The jazz band that was playing that evening Angelo Pizzaro Band topped it off. The three man band played without a break for the two and a half hours we were there and it just really made the whole evening. Highly recommended for out of towners or a romantic evening or social evening.    [25 Jun 2003 17:02:36]

On its way out?
This is the 2nd time I visited Jubilante. The 1st time, earlier this year, the food was outstanding and the service was great. My husband and I took our parents for dinner tonight. The service was extremely slow. There were only 2 people working, even though it was very busy. They were making drinks, serving, bussing, etc.!! They were low on alcohol, which seems very odd for a Saturday night with live music..... And they only had one dessert, when last time they had a large case full of goodies. I had hoped this was just an off night, but from reading some of the other reviews it does not seem to be the case.    [06 Sep 2003 23:38:12]
