The food is okay; go for the booze and live music!
If one is at all in the mood for drinking and live music (with an incredibly big obnoxious crowd) go here on a Friday or Saturday night. Many live bands frequent The Swiss which seems to specialize in acoustic songwriters during the week and popular dance bands on the weekend (The Retros, Kry, Dance Factory, etc.)The atmosphere is very "meat-market" most of the time, but again, if you are truly interested in the music (or happen to be on the prowl!) this is the perfect place. They now have a full bar, and serve food pretty late.

Speaking of, the food is pretty good, though nothing spectacular. It's your typical bar menu plus some nice hot sandwiches. I once had a decent hot chicken pesto that hit the spot. It is especially nice to go here on a hot summer day and sit near the large open doors or outside on the patio to catch the breeze.    [02 Feb 2006 17:05:02]
