I had a great chicken salad sandwich and wonderful tea. The atmosphere is wonderful and welcoming, and everyone was just friendly and warm.    [14 Apr 2005 21:51:57]

Need a Hangout? Look Elsewhere.
It's easy to mistake this for a welcoming, homey little place to hang with friends and to make new ones. Sadly, that was a misconception. The four busily-gossiping/giggling female counter staff didn't greet me or even acknowledge my presence. Meeting the challenge, I stood at the counter and just waited. (Even a loud sigh from a would-be customer behind me didn't disturb their reverie.) During this, the manager puttered about nearby without an acknowledging word or nod. At length my stare was almost reluctantly met as I got an "Are you ready?". I quietly thought "I'm ready for a lot of things, including leaving", but I bought coffee to go. (Another fun experience there: a quick visit to the rest-room revealed an empty tissue dispenser. Perhaps that's what they'd been discussing as I entered.)    [02 May 2005 18:39:22]

Food: The wrap I had was very taste and all fresh products. Great presentation. The cup of soup was very hot-which is to my likings. The portions were great too.

Service: During the lunch time, even though there was a line, the line went fast. The counter staff was extremely helpful. She answered all my question very politely and even suggested I try a different type of drink. Pleasant workers. My food was brought out quickly. We were able to sit on one of the three decks and visit with others that joined us. The harbor view is great. We didn't feel rushed at all. What great ambiance. On the inside, the coffee theme with old and new items hanging around the ceiling is very stylish. It is great to see many business professionals and students of all ages frequent this place. I have recommend this place to my co-workers and friends.

Just a frequent coffee flyer, not related to any employees.    [27 Aug 2005 05:56:59]

Stay away from the Common Grounds, which is aptly named, by the way.
Or go, once, and find out for yourself. Check out the screen door they put up with four-inch gaps at the top and bottom. Heh. :-)    [08 Dec 2005 13:50:46]

QUAINT COFFEHOUSE WITH GREAT VIEW
WE STOPPED THERE ON A TRIP TO KENOSHA,
AND FOUND THIS TO BE A QUAINT COFFEEHOUSE WITH GREAT FOOD. THE SANDWICHES WERE MADE TO ORDER AND THE STAFF WAS COURTEOUS AND HELPFUL. THE VIEW WAS UNBELIEVABLE AND THE DEOCR MADE YOU FEEL AT HOME. PLANNING TO STOP THERE AGAIN WHEN WE ARE BACK IN TOWN    [01 Feb 2006 21:48:30]

a real surprise
I have been to this establishment many times in the past with no real reason to write about it. In the last few months though, my experience has been wonderful. The staff are now very friendly and I feel as though they are happy to have me there. The espresso and specialty coffes are the stuff coffee lovers dream about. Common grounds has always been one of my favorite coffee houses as far as quality of product is concerned and now it is equal when service and attitude are being judged    [02 Feb 2006 03:49:26]

Try someplace else.
This place has the local nickname "Coffee Nazis". That should explain a lot. Just nasty.    [27 Feb 2006 14:17:46]
