The Wrong Wedding Cake
We ordered our wedding cake from the Bay Bakery in Whitefish Bay, Wi. Imagine our horror when we arrived at the reception and discovered Bay Bakery sent the wrong cake! The cake looked nothing like what we had ordered. What could we do? It was 5:30. The guests, photographers, and musicians were there. We couldn't send it back. We contacted the bakery after the wedding. Over a month later they got back to us and offered to take 15% off the $425 we paid for it. Great Cakes, Horrible Customer Service
Do not expect to be "catered" to by Bay Bakery. I recently had a meeting with the wedding cake coordinator, Barb. It was the worst service I have ever received. I was forced to pick the style of my cake within a five minute window. She was rude to me and to the other couple waiting to pick their cake. Making the final payment two weeks before the wedding didn't give me the opportunity to take my business elsewhere; otherwise I would have. Wrong Cake AND Horrible Service
The cake I received at my wedding reception was nothing like I had ordered. One of the filling flavors was wrong, and the cake was not decorated like I had asked. It looked cheap, and very amateur, which is the opposite of what I had imagined Bay Bakery would be like. After calling numerous times to speak with the owner to complain about my cake, I only ever spoke to Barb and she had the worst attitude and the worst customer service skills. She told me the owner said the cake was 'fine' which is not what I'm going for on my wedding day. She also said that the owner said the filling was correct, and that I was wrong and wouldn't be receiving any type of discount. I am going to tell everyone I know about this horrible business and they will regret ever being so rude seeing that I am in the food industry as well and have many connections to our city's website and newspaper.    [12 Jun 2006 11:19:50]
