I moved from England to Piedmont, Italy in 2003, and couldn't fail to notice the difference between a gastronomic wasteland and a gourmet's paradise. Why is is the home of the Italy's finest wines, and its most sophisticated cuisine, so little known in the English-speaking world? It's time something was done about that!
